Location and Getting here
The “Apart Garni Elfrieda“ is a family owned B&B and is situated next to the newly built Parking Lounge Ischgl. The connection tunnel to the tricable gondola Pardatschgrat (3-S Pardatschgrat A2) is also located only 200m next to the hotel and allows you easy access to the fastest gondola. Staying at B&B Elfrieda therefore means to save pains because one will not only find the superfast gondola A2, but also a big supermarket, a drugstore, a cash machine, restaurants and plenty of après ski spots (amongst them famous Niki´s Stadl and Schatzi bar) in walking distance. Within minutes you can also reach the center of Ischgl and the shopping street Dorfstraße on foot.
Our location
From Pians follow the Silvretta A-road (B 188) to Ischgl, bypass the BP gas station and make your way to the roundabout. Take the exit F2 (third exit). Follow the road and turn left, drive through the underpass and after the bridge turn left again. B&B Elfrieda is the first building in the street.
To avoid any unnecessary stress, drivers should pay heed to a few things before making their way to Paznaun:
- There are motorway tolls in Austria. Anyone caught without a valid ‘Vignette’ will have to pay a hefty fine. ‘Vignettes’ (road tax discs) are available at kiosks and service stations (also in neighbouring countries). They are valid for 10 days, 2 months or a full year.
- An extra fee is payable for the Arlberg tunnel. Here a video toll ticket bought in advance will save time and hassle.
- High visibility vests are also compulsory in Austria – and that for every passenger who leaves the vehicle in the event of breakdowns or accidents.
- In winter, appropriate equipment is required, i.e. snow tyres and, depending on the weather, also snow chains.
